When I saw the rating for Pittsburgh as the fourth least heart healthy city in America, I was astounded. We are so good in so many ways. This rating has got to improve. It is all about lifestyle changes. Go out and enjoy those hiking and biking trails.
Do you part to have a healthy heart. Start by knowing your family's medical history. Make a habit of making healthy choices by reading food labels and know what you are eating. Avoid smoking, know and understand your numbers (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol). Lose the remote and get off the couch! Be active, take a walk!
Do something good for the special women in your life. Encourage them to eat healthy and exercise. Ask them to Go Red For Women. What a wonderful way to tell these precious ladies how much they mean to you.
